Here's our (probably incomplete) list of 4th of July celebrations taking place around Vermont, including fireworks, parades, 5K runs, chicken BBQs, live music, games, art, family activities, and lots of local flavor! Bakersfield: July 5th. Parade, music, food, fireworks.
Barton: July 4th & 5th. Activities include a horse pull, Gymkhana, and tractor pulls.
Brandon: July 5th. Events include a parade, music and fireworks.
Brattleboro: July 4th. Parade, public concerts, a “Small Fry” baseball All-Star Game, and fireworks.
Bristol: July 3rd & July 4th. Featuring the famous Great Bristol Outhouse Race! Plus a parade, 5K road race, chicken BBQ, live music, games, food and craft vendors, and fireworks.
Burke Mountain: The Vermont Symphony Orchestra will perform at Burke Mountain on July 5th with fireworks.
Burlington: July 3rd. Food, music, entertainment and fireworks.
Cabot: July 4th. Live music, food vendors, activities and games, rummage sale, used book sale and parade.
Colchester: July 4th. Fun run, food vendors, music & entertainment, fireworks.
Essex Junction: July 4th. Live music, games, face painting, balloon artists, food, and fireworks.
Hartland Old Home Day: July 4th. Activities include: tractor pull, book sale, parade, vendors and live music behind the rec center after the parade.
Hinesburg: July 3rd & July 4th. Races on the 3rd, parade and fireworks on the 4th.
Jeffersonville & Smugglers’ Notch: July 4th. Town Fair, live music and fireworks.
Greensboro: July 5th. Parade and other activities.
Killington: July 4th. Parade, a fireman's BBQ, games, fireworks and more.
Milton: July 4th. Parade, music, food vendors, fireworks & more.
Montpelier: July 3rd. Activities include food trucks, a parade, “Montpelier Mile Road Race” and more.
Morristown: July 4th. Parade, food, games and other activities, fireworks.
Newport: July 4th. Parade, freedom run, a cruise, and fireworks.
Poultney: July 4th. Activities include a pancake breakfast, magic shows, parade, food, dance party, fireworks and more.
Plymouth: July 4th. Celebrating Calvin Coolidge’s birthday (which was also on July 4th), a naturalization ceremony for immigrants, chicken barbeque and more.
Rutland: July 4th. Fireworks & more.
Shelburne: July 4th. The Vermont Symphony Orchestra will play, followed by fireworks.
Stowe: July 4th. Parade, food trucks, entertainment, live musical performances, fireworks.
Vergennes: July 3rd. Fireworks display.
Wardsboro: July 4th. Parade, talent, food vendors and more.
Warren: July 4th. Parade, street dancing, kids' activities, fireworks & more.
Westford: July 4th. Fireworks & more.
Williston: July 3rd and 4th. Activities will include a book sale, ice cream social, town band concert, parade, fireworks & more.
Woodstock: July 4th. Activities include a spelling bee, music, horse-drawn carriage rides, ice cream making, and more.
